Newton Faulkner Undercover - choose a song for Newton to record

Anyone who’s seen Newton live, will bow not only to his incredible skills as a songwriter and musician but also to his humour on stage. Newton is known for some of his cover versions on tour from Massive Attacks ‘Teardrop’ and Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to the slightly more obscure ‘Baywatch Theme’ and of course ‘Spongebob Squarepants’. Here’s a small selection of some of the songs he’s performed.

Newton would like to introduce a brand new cover version - and we’d like to hear what you think he should be performing. Do you have a favourite track, anthem or classic that you think is crying out for Newton’s guitar skills or perhaps something a bit more light hearted?
Head over to Newton's Facebook page here to take part.

My first inclination is a Newtonian rendering of a classic punk tune... Then I think of about a dozen 80's tunes overdue for a facelift... But overall, the one song I would love to hear Newton cover is "Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce. Even without hearing it I know it would make me cry.

oh you HAVE to do Ziggy Stardust

Moonage Daydream! A fantastic song that only Newton Faulkner could do justice to as a cover.

My contemplation of which song you'd might like to cover...

well, I love it when you do your Kermit voice...especially when i saw you at the lowery on October (19th) Amazing performance by the way : )
so, why not Rainbow Connection?
Personally- it's my favourite song...and with your talent, i reckon you could even bring it out as a single too.
Best of luck and loads of love always,
Paige. x.
